It’s funny that I don’t like cocky guys in real life, but I’m so drawn to ore-sama type guys in otome games. I can’t remember too much, but they did a very good job separating his love from the past life and his love from the current, so there were little question about whether the current Takuma was actually in love with the mc or her past life. Takuma was the “official match” in the game and his story was very touching. All the main male characters’ past life are legendary monsters that had a past with the mc’s past life. He’s actually a pretty good looking high school guy most of the time, but sure he retained his red hair. Of course, Takuma doesn’t look like that (above) all the time. Honestly, the story plot was so complicated that I don’t understand/remember much about it… I wasn’t able to get my hands on a Chinese/English version of it and my Japanese was very limited.

Hiiro no Kakera was a PS2 game I played a while back.
Oh, my Shindo-sama~~!! *squeals* Onizaki Takuma from Hiiro no Kakera (緋色の欠片) by Idea Factory Otomeito That’s why, in my books he’s totally at the “sama” level. He was late to realize his true feelings for the mc in both games, thinking it was just her voice that he’s interested in, but he was always silently supporting her. That’s why it was so touching when, as the story progresses, he starts putting the mc’s welfare over his music. He’s the type who will work non-stop with no food and no sleep when it comes to music. Though he was a little different in the two versions of the game, his extreme love for music is unchanged. But he is absolutely perfect in both Celebrity Darling the Last Scandal (GREE version) and Celebrity Darling Love Duet. I debated whether to put one of my favorite otome game male character under the redhead type or the lack of facial expression type. He’s just been through a lot.) I was happy.” T_T (BTW, he looked like an ojisan, but he’s actually not THAT much older than the mc I think. When he was on his death bed, his last words was “Thank you. In one of the bad endings, the mc thought he was the cause of her family’s misfortune, so she proceeded to poison him after they were married. But the reason I like his character is not only does he fit my must play types (he’s a redhead, an ore-sama AND he’s love the mc since forever), he loves her to the point that breaks my heart. I’m not bothered by it like many others on the net. Of course, with most Japanese R18 otome games, all male characters has a tendency to go crazy and rape the mc, but if there’s a demand, there’s a supply. Shiba ended up to be one of my favorite R18 otome game male characters. Shiba from Cho no Doku Hana no Kusari (蝶の毒華の鎖) by Aromarie (R18 game) That’s mostly because of the shallow plot and many badly drawn CGs when it comes to the R18 scenes. Yoshitaka in Brothers – Koisuru Onii-sama turned out to be a bit of a disappointment… well, as with the rest of the game. The usual exception is when the guy has long hair or if he is an ojisan (older male… and by older I mean by more than 10 years or so). 9/10 times, if one of the guys is a red head, I’ll be playing his route first. Of course, the list is no way exhaustive to the number of otome games I’ve played.įor whatever reason, I have a thing for male characters with red hair. So this post is dedicated to male characters that I just absolutely had to play first/asap after the mc met him. For whatever reason, the characters that has the attributes that I’m attracted to has a higher chance of being the “official match” for the mc in Voltage Inc games. Of course, sometimes, they are one of the main characters too.įunny how most of the time, these guys doesn’t turn out to be the official match of the mc, especially in non-Voltage Inc games. Sometimes, they are characters that are very minor and you meet them only in another route once, and I just decided I HAVE to play his route. It wouldn’t matter whether they were the “official match” for the story or not. I don’t know about other people, but whenever I play a new otome game there are generally certain types of guys I would almost always play first.
